Mocha Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. instant coffee
  • 1/2 c. hot water
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1/2 pt. cream, whipped
  • pinch of salt

Directions

    Dissolve instant coffee in hot water.

    Beat egg yolks with sugar and salt.

    Add coffee; cook in a double boiler, stirring constantly until custard is very thick.

    Cool.

    Chill in refrigerator.

    Fold in whipped cream just before serving.
