Mock Wild Rice

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 c. raw rice
- 1/2 c. finely diced celery
- 1/4 c. each: chopped onion and chopped green pepper
- 1/4 c. butter
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. monosodium glutamate
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 2 1/2 c. chicken bouillon
Directions

1Combine rice, celery, onion, green pepper and butter in a skillet.

2Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently until rice is lightly browned, then stir in salt, monosodium glutamate, pepper and chicken bouillon.

3Heat to a boil, then reduce heat to very low and cover tightly.

4Cook 30 minutes or until rice is tender and liquid is absorbed, stirring occasionally.

5Just before serving, stir in 1/2 cup chopped filberts which have been sauteed in a little butter.

6Serves 6 to 8.
