- 4 Idaho baked potatoes
- butter or margarine
- chives
- parsley
- garlic powder or garlic salt
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 2 c. water
Directions

1Slice a thin slab off each side of baked potato.

2Slice the slabs like thin French fries.

3The remaining block can be cut in half, then quarters and eighths.

4Cut to size of small French fries.

5Put 2 cups water in bowl and add sugar.

6Soak French fry size potatoes for 1 hour or more.

7Pour off water and place potatoes in a flat baking dish.

8Melt butter or margarine in a small pan.

9Add chives, parsley and garlic powder.

10Mix and pour over potatoes; cook in a 350° oven for 30 minutes or until done. Leave skin on potatoes.
