Ingredients

  • 2 lb. ground beef
  • 1/2 lb. sausage
  • 1 green bell pepper, chopped
  • 2 (16 oz.) cans Del Monte chili-style tomatoes
  • 2 Tbsp. garlic powder
  • 1 pkg. Wick Fowler's 2-Alarm chili mix
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • brown sugar
  • 1 lb. beef stew meat
  • 2 large Bermuda onions
  • 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 c. parsley, chopped fine

Directions

    Brown all the meat in the pot.

    Drain partially.

    Add onions, peppers, parsley, garlic and chili mix (per the instructions) and cook until the onions are clear.

    Add tomatoes, sauce, cinnamon, brown sugar and the rest of the chili mix.

    Cook, covered, on medium-low heat for 2 to 3 hours.

    Serve with shredded Cheddar cheese sprinkled on top.
