  • 1 1/2 c. boiling water
  • 1/2 to 3/4 c. butter, margarine or salad oil
  • 1/2 c. minced onion
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1 tsp. poultry seasoning
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 Tbsp. snipped parsley
  • 2 Tbsp. diced celery
  • 3 qt. day old bread crumbs or 1/2-inch squares (12 c.), lightly packed
  • 2 Tbsp. dry or prepared mustard

Directions

    In large kettle, combine water, butter and onion.
