- 2 c. sugar
- 2 c. flour (self-rising)
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 2 sticks butter
- 4 Tbsp. cocoa
- 1 c. water
- 1/2 c. buttermilk
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. soda
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Mix sugar, flour and salt in mixing bowl.

2In saucepan, heat to boiling, butter, cocoa and water.

3Add buttermilk, then add all ingredients in bowl.

4Mix and pour into greased and floured sheet cake pan.

5Bake at 400° for 30 minutes.

6Put icing on while hot right out of the oven.
