  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 c. molasses
  • 1 tsp. allspice
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1/2 tsp. ginger
  • 1 c. boiling water

Directions

    Cream sugar and butter.

    Add eggs, molasses and mix well.

    Add dry ingredients to cream mixture and blend.

    Stir in 1 cup boiling water.

    Pour into greased pan.

    Bake at 375° for 30 to 40 minutes or until done.
