Molasses Egg Jelly

- 1 cup molasses, I use Grandma's Fancy brand
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 pinch of grated nutmeg (optional)
Directions

1Please note molasses gets VERY HOT be careful not to splash when stirring!

2Pour molasses into a saucepan over medium heat, boil 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Be careful it does not boil over!

3Turn heat down to low, very slowly pour the eggs into the molasses, stirring gently, the mixture will thicken.

4Stir in nutmeg. Remove from stove.

5Pour into a jar or small pitcher.

6This is best served warm with hot tea biscuits or corn muffins.

7If you like molasses, you will probably enjoy this tasty treat!

8Do NOT use blackstrap molasses to make this!
