- 2 c. sugar (substitute 3/4 c. molasses for 1 c. sugar)
- 1 c. blackberry jam
- 5 eggs, separated
- 3 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp. soda
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 tsp. nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp. cloves
- 1 c. buttermilk
- 1 c. nuts, chopped
- 1 c. raisins

2oven to 350°. Cream together butter, shortening and sugar and add molasses and jam.
