  • 1/4 c. Crisco
  • 3/8 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. smoothly beaten whipped potatoes
  • 1/4 c. molasses
  • 1 c. sifted flour
  • 1/2 tsp. soda
  • 3/4 tsp. ginger
  • 3/4 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp. salt

    Cream Crisco and sugar together.

    Add potatoes and continue creaming.

    Mix in molasses.

    Sift together flour, soda, spices and salt.

    Stir into first mixture.

    Drop the batter by tablespoon on greased baking sheet.

    Flatten with bottom of glass to 1/8-inch thick.

    Bake at 350° for 15 minutes, until cookies are brown.
