Molasses Whole Wheat Bread

- 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 2 c. whole wheat flour
- 1 c. sifted all-purpose flour
- 3/4 tsp. baking soda
- 2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 1/4 tsp. salt
- 3/4 c. milk
- 3/4 c. water
- 3/4 c. molasses
- 1 c. chopped walnuts
Directions

1Mix together sugar, whole wheat flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt.

2Combine milk, water and molasses.

3Add to dry ingredients.

4Mix until smooth.

5Add walnuts.

6Pour into 9 1/4 x 5 1/4 x 2 1/2-inch greased loaf pan.

7Let stand 20 minutes.

8Bake in 350°

9oven for 1 1/2 hours.

10Cool for 5 minutes.

11Remove from pan. Cool.

12Bread will slice in nice thin slices if stored overnight.
