  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. Knox gelatine
  • 1/2 c. sugar or use part artificial sweetener
  • 1 3/4 c. boiling water
  • 1/2 c. lemon juice
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. horseradish
  • 1 Tbsp. vinegar
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 c. water (cold)
  • 1 can beets
  • 3/4 c. shredded cabbage

Directions

    Soften gelatine in 1/4 cup cold water.

    Add sweetener to boiling water to dissolve.

    Add softened gelatine to dissolve in boiling liquid.

    Add other ingredients.

    Let liquid get partly set before adding beets and cabbage.

    Use beet juice as part of the liquid.
