- 1 can refried beans
- 1/2 lb. grated Monterey Jack cheese
- sliced ham or Mexican sausage (chorizo)
Directions

1Split bread in half lengthwise (use both halves).

2Spread with a thin layer of margarine.

3Spread with a layer of refried beans. If desired, place thin slices of ham or spread the Mexican sausage over the beans.

4Top with grated cheese.

5Broil or bake on high heat until cheese is melted.

6Cut into individual pieces and serve with salsa (hot sauce).
