Ingredients
- 2 envelopes dry yeast
- 1/2 c. cool water
- 1 c. boiling water
- 3/4 c. shortening
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 c. cold water
- 2 eggs
- 7 1/2 to 8 c. flour
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in cool water.

2Stir and set aside.

3Pour boiling water over shortening and stir until creamy.

4Add sugar, salt and cold water.

5Stir and let cool.

6Beat in the eggs.

7Add yeast and stir.

8Add flour and knead.

9Let rise until doubled and shape into rolls or buns and let rise again.

10Or you can refrigerate until used.

11Bake at 400° for 15 to 20 minutes. Serving size depends on what you do with mixture.
