- 1/4 c. flour
- 1 c. brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 c. softened margarine
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 egg
- 1 c. quick oats
- 1/2 c. peanut butter
- 1/2 c. coconut (optional)
- 1/2 c. chocolate chips
- 1/2 c. nuts or sunflower seeds
Directions

1Combine flour, sugar, margarine, salt, soda, vanilla and egg. Beat at medium speed for 1 to 2 minutes.

2Add oats, peanut butter and coconut.

3Spread dough in a greased 9 x 13-inch pan with hands. Sprinkle top with chocolate chips and nuts.

4Bake 15 to 20 minutes in preheated 375° oven or until edges are golden and center stays soft.

5Cut into 24 bars.
