- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1 c. sugar
- 4 eggs
- 2 pkg. yeast
- 4 c. flour
- 2 sticks butter
- 1 c. milk
Directions

1Cream shortening, eggs and sugar until smooth.

2Add yeast, then add 1 cup warm milk.

3Add 4 cups flour.

4Mix well and set aside to rise for 2 hours.

5Melt butter.

6Dump dough on floured board and divide into 2 portions.

7Roll dough and cut into slices. Dip strips of dough into melted butter and layer into tube pan (or may place loaf of dough, dipped in butter, in a tube pan). Bake 1 hour at 325°.
