- 1 c. milk
- 1 c. (2 sticks) butter or oleo, divided and melted
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 pkg. active dry yeast
- 3 1/2 c. flour
Directions

1Combine milk, 1/2 cup melted butter, sugar and salt in a saucepan.

2Heat until butter is melted.

3Cool to 105° to 115°. Stir in yeast until dissolved.

4Place flour in a large bowl; make a well in the flour and pour in the liquid mixture.

5Stir until blended.

6Cover and let rise until doubled in bulk, about 1 hour and 20 minutes.

7Turn dough out on a floured surface and roll to 1/4 inch thick.

8Cut in 3-inch squares.

9Dip each square into the remaining butter and layer squares in a 10-inch tube or Bundt pan. Let rise until doubled in bulk, about 30 to 40 minutes.

10Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.

11Serves 6.
