- 1 pkg. yeast
- 1 c. milk
- 4 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 4 Tbsp. butter, melted
- 3 1/2 c. sifted flour
- 1 egg
Directions

1In large bowl, dissolve yeast in cooled, scalded milk.

2Stir in sugar, salt, butter and flour.

3Beat well.

4Cover and let rise in warm place until almost double in bulk.

5Punch down; roll out on a lightly floured board to 1/4-inch thickness.

6Cut into diamond shaped pieces, 2 1/2-inches long.

7Dip in melted butter and arrange in 9-inch ring mold pan.

8Pan should be about 1/2 full.

9Let rise again until almost double in bulk.

10Bake in moderate (350°) oven until golden brown.
