- 2 pkg. active dry yeast
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1/4 c. warm water
- 1/2 c. butter or margarine
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 3/4 c. milk
- 5 c. flour
- 3 eggs
- 1/2 c. more butter
Directions

1Dissolve the yeast and 1 teaspoon of sugar in warm water. Combine 1/2 cup butter, 1/3 cup sugar, salt and milk.

2Heat until lukewarm.

3Beat the eggs in large bowl.

4Add yeast and milk mixtures and 1/2 of the flour; mix well.

5Add the rest of the flour to make a soft dough.

6Knead until smooth and satiny, 5 to 8 minutes.
