- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. butter
- 6 egg yolks
- 1 3/4 c. flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- Pinch of salt
- 4 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 6 egg whites (stiffly beaten)
- Finely chopped nuts
Directions

1Heat oven to 350°.

2Cream sugar and butter, add egg yolks, and mix well.

3Sift dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture. Add lemon juice.

4Mix well.

5Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites. Pour into greased and floured jellyroll pan.

6Sprinkle with chopped nuts.

7Bake 25 - 30 minutes.

8When cool sprinkle with powdered sugar (sifted).

9Cut into moon shapes using small glass cutting 1/2 of cake to look like crescent moon.
