Moonshine Beans

Ingredients

  • 2 cans pork and beans (any brand)
  • approximately 1 lb. bacon, fried crisp
  • 1/2 c. diced onion
  • 1/2 c. apple juice or whiskey (I prefer apple juice)
  • 1/4 c. brown sugar or molasses (2 Tbsp. sweetener if cooking for a diabetic)

Directions

    Fry onion in bacon grease; drain.

    Mix all ingredients well. Pour into a buttered baking dish.

    Bake approximately 20 to 30 minutes.

    Serve hot or cold.
