  • 4 kg mussels, cleaned and debearded
  • 2 onions, chopped coarsely
  • 3 stalks celery, chopped coarsely
  • 12 bunch parsley
  • 20 g butter
  • fresh coarse ground black pepper

Directions

    After cleaning and debearding the mussels, throw away any that are open.

    Melt the butter in a large pot that has a lid and saute the onions and celery for about 3-4 minutes with stirring.

    Put the cleaned mussels in the pot and cover them with the parsley.

    Season with pepper.

    Put the lid on the pot and let the mussels cook for about 15 minutes, or until they have opened.

    Serve them from the pot with french fries and mayonnaise.
