  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • 1/2 c. chopped green pepper
  • 2 c. (1 lb.) canned tomatoes
  • 1 (6 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 1/2 c. water
  • bay leaf (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. black pepper
  • 8 oz. mostaccioli, cooked and drained
  • 1/2 lb. Velveeta cheese, sliced thin
  • grated Parmesan cheese

Directions

    Heat oven to 350°.

    Brown meat and drain.

    Add green pepper and onion.

    Cook until tender.

    Stir in tomatoes, tomato sauce, water and seasonings.

    In a 2-quart casserole dish, layer half the noodles, half the meat sauce and half the Velveeta cheese.

    Repeat layers.
