  • 1 1/2 lb. bulk Italian sausage or ground beef
  • 4 c. meatless spaghetti sauce
  • 1 lb. mostaccioli, cooked and drained
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 15 oz. Ricotta cheese
  • 8 oz. shredded Mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 c. grated Romano cheese

Directions

    In a Dutch oven, brown meat.

    Drain. Stir in sauce and pasta. Set aside.

    In a bowl, combine egg, Ricotta and Mozzarella.

    In a 9 x 13-inch pan, spread half of the pasta mixture; layer cheese mixture over all. Top with remaining pasta. Bake, covered, at 375° for 40 minutes. Top with Romano. Bake until cheese melts.
