- 1 stick butter, melted
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 c. plain flour
- 1 1/2 c. crystallized mixed fruit, finely chopped
- 1 1/2 c. light brown sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 1/2 c. chopped pecans
Directions

1Grease and flour baking pans.

2Spread 2 cups pecans in bottom of 2 (9 x 13-inch) baking pans.

3Make a batter by mixing butter, sugar, eggs, vanilla and flour.

4Pour this carefully over nuts. Do not mix nuts into batter.

5Sprinkle 1/2 cup nuts and fruit over batter.

6Bake 1 hour at 300°.

7Cut while hot into small squares. Cool in pans.

8Remove and store in airtight container.

9They freeze well.
