- 1 whole lemon, sliced paper thin
- juice of 1 additional lemon
- 1 c. water
- 2 c. sugar
- pinch of salt
- 5 Granny Smith apples
Directions

1Peel apples and slice thin.

2Bring to rolling boil all ingredients except apples.

3Add the apples, stirring carefully to cover with liquid.

4Cook on medium to medium-high until apples are transparent.

5Remove apples with slotted spoon, leaving juice to continue cooking until slightly thickened.

6Pour over apples and allow to cool before serving.
