  • 2 pkg. yeast
  • 2 1/2 c. warm water
  • 3 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. salt
  • 1/4 c. shortening
  • 6 1/2 c. sifted all-purpose flour

Directions

    Cut shortening into flour.

    Put yeast in warm water.

    Add sugar and ingredients.

    Form into ball; let rise, then make out rolls in pan and let rise again.

    Bake in hot oven at 400° until brown.
