Mother'S Nut Pie

- 2/3 c. sugar
- 3 Tbsp. flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 c. white karo
- 1/2 c. water
- 3 Tbsp. butter, melted
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 3 eggs, well beaten
- 10-inch deep-dish pie crust
- 1 1/4 c. nuts (pecan halves, chopped pecans or chopped walnuts)
Directions

1Mix together in large bowl flour, sugar and salt.

2Add Karo, water, butter and vanilla and beat until smooth.

3Pour into 10-inch pie crust.

4Top with pecan halves (or nut pieces).

5Bake at 325° for about an hour until silver knife inserted in center comes out clean.

6I usually make two at a time.

7One is gone in no time.
