  • 1 1/2 c. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. chopped nuts
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. baking powder

    Crust:

    Cream butter, adding sugar slowly.

    Add 3 egg yolks and 1 egg white, beating well.

    Combine flour, baking powder and salt. Add slowly to creamed mixture, beating well.

    Add vanilla and mix well.

    Spread dough on bottom of a well-greased pan.

    Sprinkle nuts over top and pat nuts lightly into dough.
