Muenster Apple Pie

- 2 pie crusts
- 4 -6 fuji apples, cored, sliced thin
- 1 cup flour
- 14 cup cornstarch
- 12 teaspoon fresh ground nutmeg
- 14 teaspoon cinnamon
- 14 teaspoon salt
- 1 12 cups shredded muenster cheese
- 2 ounces baby bel cheese
- 1 whole egg wash
Directions

1Pre-heat oven to 375F

2Mix flour, corn starch, salt, and spices together, and then toss the apple slices in the mixture until each piece is well-covered.

3Toss in the Meunster cheese.

4Stuff your pie shell with apple mixture, then put slices of Baby Bel on top of mix instead of the traditional butter.

5Close the shell, make small vents, and brush liberally with egg wash.

6Bake for 30 minutes with an edge guard (foil works fine), and then another 15 minutes without the guard.

7High Altitude adjustments, over 3000 feet: Depending on your oven, set temperature 25 degrees higher, increase primary cooking time by five to ten minutes, and keep final time without edge guard the same.
