Ingredients

  • 4 cups mulberries
  • 4 apples pared, cored & Sliced
  • 4 cups apple juice
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 3 tablespoons water

Directions

    Pick over berries- discard stems & bruised berries.

    Place berries & apples in pot.

    Pour in apple juice.

    Simmer 20 minutes.

    Mash.

    Strain through sieve.

    Add sugar & cinnamon.

    Mix cornstarch in water.

    Add to soup.

    Bring to boil.

    Remove & serve hot or chilled.

    If chilled, top with whipping cream.
