Ingredients

  • 1 pound Ground Beef
  • 1 Tablespoon Minced Garlic
  • 1 Tablespoon Onion Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Seasoned Salt
  • 5 Tablespoons Flour
  • 2 cans (14 Oz. Can) Beef Broth OR 4 Cups Water With Beef Bouillon
  • 5 whole Large Potatoes
  • 1 Tablespoon Oil, Or As Needed
  • Salt And Pepper, to taste

Directions

  1. 1
    Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
  2. 2
    Slice potatoes into fries.
  3. 3
Place on a large baking sheet.
  4. 4
Pour about 1 tablespoon of oil over the fries and toss with fingers to coat evenly.
  5. 5
Sprinkle fries with seasoning of choice.
  6. 6
    I use seasoned salt.
  7. 7
    Place in the oven.
  8. 8
Bake for approximately 45 minutes or until golden and crispy.
  9. 9
In a mixing bowl, mix hamburger, garlic, seasoned salt, onion powder and salt and pepper.
  10. 10
    Mix well with hands.
  11. 11
    Form 4 large patties.
  12. 12
I like to make really rustic, greasy diner-style patties with no uniform shape.
  13. 13
Place in a large preheated skillet over medium heat, preferably one with deep sides.
  14. 14
Brown burgers on each side until done.
  15. 15
Remove burgers from the skillet and place on a plate covered in paper towels.
  16. 16
    Do not drain the grease.
  17. 17
Add the flour a tablespoon at a time, stirring with a whisk.
  18. 18
You have enough when the grease is all absorbed and the flour mixture gets thick and bubbly.
  19. 19
Slowly add the broth a little at a time, whisking constantly.
  20. 20
Bring to a simmer and allow to thicken.
  21. 21
To serve, place an ample amount of fries on the plate.
  22. 22
Place a hamburger on top of the fries and cover it all amply in gravy.
  23. 23
    Enjoy!
