Ingredients
- 1/2 lb. fresh mushrooms, chopped
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1/4 c. chopped onion
- 1/4 tsp. thyme
- 1/8 tsp. white pepper
- 2 c. flour
- 3 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 4 Tbsp. shortening
- 3/4 c. milk
Directions

1Preheat oven to 425°.

2Saute mushrooms and onion in butter. Add seasonings and set aside to cool slightly.

3Combine flour, baking powder and salt.

4Cut in the shortening with a pastry blender.

5Add milk and then stir in mushroom mixture.

6Drop from a spoon onto lightly greased baking sheet.

7Bake about 12 minutes, until browned.

8Makes 1 dozen.
