- 2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 3 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 (10 1/2 oz.) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/4 c. melted shortening or salad oil
Directions

1Heat oven to 400°.

2Sift dry ingredients together into a bowl; make a well in the center.

3Combine remaining ingredients; add to flour mixture.

4Stir until just mixed.

5Fill greased muffin tins 2/3 full.

6Bake at 400° for 20 minutes.

7Makes about 11 muffins.
