Mushroom Pie

Ingredients

  • 3 Tbsp. chicken fat or shortening
  • 1/4 c. light cream
  • 1 lb. sliced mushrooms
  • 1/4 c. sherry wine
  • 1/4 c. chicken stock
  • generous pinch of marjoram
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 pie crust (pkg. or your own)

Directions

    Saute mushrooms in chicken fat. Add stock, marjoram, salt and pepper. Cover and let cook 10 minutes.

    Thicken with flour.

    Add cream and wine. Cover and let simmer 10 minutes.

    Stir occasionally to prevent sticking. Remove from heat and place in casserole.
