Ingredients

  • 3 to 4 lb. beef roast
  • 2 onions, sliced
  • 1 1/2 c. water
  • 1/4 c. catsup
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic salt
  • 1/4 tsp. dry mustard
  • 1/4 tsp. rosemary and thyme
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 (6 oz.) can mushrooms and juice

Directions

    Dredge meat in flour and brown slowly; season with salt and pepper.

    Add remaining ingredients, except for mushrooms.

    Simmer slowly until meat is tender.

    Add mushrooms just before serving. Good served with green bean casserole.
