Ingredients

  • 1/4 c. butter
  • 2 c. ham, cooked and slivered
  • 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 1 to 5 Tbsp. prepared mustard
  • 3/4 c. water
  • 1/2 green pepper, chopped fine
  • 1 (9 oz.) can pineapple
  • 1 to 5 Tbsp. each cornstarch and vinegar
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1 1/2 c. packed precooked rice
  • pinch of cloves

Directions

    Melt butter (1/2) and add green peppers and ham and cook for 5 minutes.

    Drain pineapple.

    Keep liquid, cut up in bite size pieces.

    Mix liquid and next 6 ingredients.

    Stir into ham mixture and cook until thick.

    Add pineapple and heat.

    Prepare rice adding remaining butter and cloves after rice has warmed a few minutes. Serve with ham.
