Simple Meringue

  • 4 egg whites
  • 8 ounces caster sugar
  • 1 dash vanilla extract
  • 1 dash vinegar

Directions

    Whisk the egg whites until they are stiff and form peaks.

    Then whisk in 75% of the sugar, the vanilla and vinegar until mixed.

    Fold in the remaining sugar then cook on low heat - 100 degrees centigrade for 3 hours.

    Remove from oven and leave to cool then decorate as wished.
