  • 2/3 c. cocoa
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 tsp. vinegar
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. oil
  • 2 c. cold water

    Sift the first 5 ingredients together in a large bowl.

    Make 3 holes in this dry mixture.

    In one add vinegar, in another add vanilla and the last add oil.

    Over all pour cold water and beat well.

    Bake in 2 (8 or 9-inch) cake pans at 350° for 35 to 40 minutes.
