Navy Bean Salad

  • 6 2/3 tablespoons navy beans
  • 3/4 pound green beans
  • 6 1/2 ounces fish canned Bonito, or tuna, drained
  • roasted red bell peppers chopped
  • 1/4 onion peeled and chopped
  • salt
  • olive oil
  • vinegar

Directions

    Soak the navy beans in water overnight.

    The following day, place the navy beans in a saucepan. Add chilled water and boil for 15 minutes. Lower the heat and continue to cook for 30 minutes until tender. With 5 minutes before they are done, add a pinch of salt. Let the beans cool.

    In a bowl, add the navy beans, green beans, canned fish, bell pepper, and onion. Season with a pinch of salt and few drops of oil and vinegar.

    Mix well and serve.
