- 2 c. diced celery with leaves
- 1 1/2 c. sliced carrots
- 3/4 c. chopped green onions
- 1 pod hot pepper
- 1 c. peeled, chopped tomatoes
- 2 tsp. salt
- 3/4 tsp. pepper
Directions

1Set aside tomatoes, salt and pepper.

2Cover rest of ingredients with water, 2 inches above beans.

3Add the remaining ingredients 15 minutes before beans are done.
