Navy Bean Soup

- 1 (16 oz.) pkg. dried navy beans
- meaty ham bone
- 2 medium onions, chopped
- 2 c. celery, diced (optional)
- 1 1/2 tsp. Italian seasoning
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 (10 oz.) can condensed tomato soup
Directions

1Soak beans overnight and drain off water.

2Fill Dutch oven 1/2 full with water.

3Add ham bone, beans, onions, celery and seasonings.

4Simmer for at least 4 hours. Remove ham bone. Cut up ham and return to soup. Continue to simmer.

5After it has thickened, add tomato soup and water to desired consistency.
