  • 1 (16 ounce) package dried navy beans
  • 6 cups water
  • 1 (14 1/2 ounce) can diced tomatoes
  • 1 onion
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 3 celery ribs
  • 3 ham hocks or 3 chopped ham
  • 1 chicken bouillon cube
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon dried parsley
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 bay leaf
