- 2 pounds ripe nectarines (unpeeled), quartered, pitted
- 3/4 cup simple syrup
- 1 1/4 cups white rum
- 1 cup plum wine
- 2/3 cup fresh lime juice
- 3 cups ice cubes
- Fresh plum wedges (optional)
Directions

1Combine nectarines and simple syrup in processor.

2Puree until smooth.

3Strain mixture into large pitcher, pressing on solids in strainer to extract as much liquid as possible.

4Discard solids in strainer.

5Add rum, plum wine, and lime juice to pitcher.

6Stir to blend well.

7(Can be prepared 6 hours ahead and refrigerated.)

8Add 3 cups ice cubes to pitcher.

9Pour daiquiri into cocktail glasses.

10Garnish rim of each glass with plum wedge, if desired, and serve.
