- 1 1/2 c. chopped nuts (pecans)
- 1 1/2 c. butter, softened
- 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
- 3 c. sugar
- dash of salt
- 6 eggs
- 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 3 c. sifted cake flour
Directions

1Sprinkle 1/2 cup of the nuts into a greased and floured tube pan.

2Cream the butter and cream cheese.

3Add sugar and beat until fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time. Add flour and salt.

4Stir in vanilla and rest of nuts.

5Bake at 325° for 1 1/2 hours.

6Cool 10 to 15 minutes before turning out.
