Ingredients
- 2 medium carrots, diced
- 3 medium potatoes, diced
- 2 lb. tenderized round steak, cubed
- 2 stalks celery with leaves, diced
- 1 small onion, diced
- 1/2 tsp. garlic salt
- 1/2 tsp. thyme
- 1/2 tsp. basil
- 1/2 tsp. black pepper
- 16 oz. can tomato paste
Directions

1Parboil the carrots and potatoes.

2Combine them with the other ingredients in a crock-pot.

3Add enough water to cover and mix to blend water and seasonings.

4Cook on low heat until vegetables and meat are tender, approximately 5 hours.

5Or place ingredients in a covered, ovenproof pot and bake in the oven at 325° for 2 to 3 hours.

6Serves six.
