- 1 cube margarine
- 2/3 c. honey
- 1 c. buttermilk
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 c. yellow cornmeal
- 1 c. fine ground whole wheat flour
Directions

1Melt margarine and honey together.

2Cool a bit.

3Combine buttermilk and eggs.

4Add to the margarine and honey mixture.

5Put dry ingredients into a bowl and stir.

6Add wet mixture to dry ingredients until moistened.

7Pour into greased 8 x 8 x 2-inch square.

8Bake at 350° for 35 to 40 minutes until golden brown.
