  • 5 c. sugar
  • 1 c. water
  • 1 c. white syrup
  • 4 egg whites
  • 1 c. walnuts
  • 2 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    Mix sugar, water and syrup in heavy pan.

    Boil to medium stage (240°).
  3. 3
    Slowly pour half over beaten egg whites, beating constantly. Cook remaining syrup to very hard ball stage (265°). Beat syrup into candy mix. Continue beating until mixture holds its shape.

    Add vanilla and nuts.
  5. 5
    Drop from spoon on greased cookie sheet.
