- 1 c. sugar
- 2 egg whites
- 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
- 3 Tbsp. cold water
- 1/4 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Put sugar, egg whites, cream of tartar and water in top of double boiler.

2Stir well and place over boiling water, being careful that water in lower part does not touch upper pan.

3Beat constantly with rotary beater until mixture holds a point, 4 to 5 minutes.

4Remove from over the water and add vanilla.
