Ingredients

  • 3 c. sugar
  • 1 1/8 c. white Karo
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 4 c. Spanish peanuts
  • 3 tsp. butter
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 1/2 tsp. soda

Directions

    Boil sugar, Karo and water until thread spins or 250°.

    Add peanuts and cook until a few drops dropped in a cup of cold water cracks.

    Remove from heat.

    Add butter, vanilla and soda.

    Pour onto buttered cookie sheet, spreading as thin as possible with spoon.
